As a conductor, Ian Jewel has directed many performances with the  Purcell Symphony and Chamber Orchestras in London at St John's Smith  Square, St James's Piccadilly, St Martin's in the Fields, The Duke's  Hall at the Royal Academy and the Royal College Concert Hall. As well as  the major symphonic and chamber orchestra repertoire, he has  accompanied many up-and-coming young soloists - Minjin Kym in the Bruch  violin concerto, So-ock Kim in Tchaikovsky, Soojin Han in Sibelius, and  his own students -  Daniel Palmizio in the Walton Viola concerto and  Rosalind Ventris in The "Schwanendreher" by Hindemith.
